The 3D Artist is responsible for making the 3D objects and characters
that fill the game world. Based on sketches done by the character
designers and other artists your job as the 3D artist is to
make these into 3D objects that can be animated and placed into
the game engine. Today’s games demand a lot from the people
who work with the 3D graphics. Some of the most talent 3D artist
today you will find in the game industry. You must be experienced
with working with 3D modeling software such as 3D Studio and
MAYA. Some 3D artists also do animation work. As always, being
flexible and having skills in all types of graphic design is
going to make you more attractive to the game companies.
