This game would be based on the first two movies of the Halloween movie series. In this game, you take the role of Michael Myers, psychotic serial killer hell bent on murdering his family. This game would play sort of like metal gear solid, only instead of guns and high tech weaponry, you would acquire knives, scalpels, axes, and various stabbing weapons. Your goal would be to kill your sister, Laurie Strode, while avoiding Dr. Sam Loomis, your psychiatrist.
My brother and I thought of some cool ideas for this. If anyone else out there is a fan of the Halloween movie series, you'll know what I'm talking about.
The game would begin with a movie clip taken directly form the movie of young Michael Myers killing his sister in his house when he was a little kid. I figure the game play could begin when you break out of your cell in the sanitarium and make your way back to your home town of Haddonfield. The first level would probably be escaping the sanitarium with no weapon but your bare hands. Strangulations and general beat downs would be some cool moves to do with bare hands. As you progress through the game, you would acquire more powerful weapons and moves, as well as the game play obviously getting more difficult. The last level would probably be in the hospital in haddonfield where Dr. Loomis is trying to blow you up with gas tanks. In this scene, Myers has recently been shot in the eyes, therefore causing blindness. To achieve this effect without blacking out the screen, I figured the controls could just become inverted (forward is backward, left is right, etc.). Your goal here would be to finally kill Laurie Strode, who would be scurrying around the screen trying to shoot you again. Loomis would be randomly lighting up gas jets from giant tanks which would cause giant flames to shoot at you.
Anyway, this game is in very early development stages, and any comments on how to improve or any ideas would be cool.
