My idea is a skateboarding game setup as an RPG/action sports/simulator game. Before you begin to play you will be prompted to create character; the create a character should be in depth, you should be given the options to change face shape, size, color, ect. The clothing should also have a wide array of choices, and so should the board you are skating. Now for the actual game. The physics should be very realistic, unlike Tony Hawk games they take your character’s statistics above and beyond superhuman. When you begin your game the character you created would start as a poser that can hardly stand on a skateboard. To be able to complete tricks or the most simple maneuvers you will go to a certain area to practice them and slowly but surely build up your statistics. That’s how this game is also an RPG, instead of completing a level and getting a statistic point you will be told to do certain challenges that will help your character learn to do a specific trick. For example, to learn to manual you may be told to skate a very steep hill without falling to build up your balance, and so on. The controls of the game should remain fairly simple, like in the Tony Hawk series. And now for the levels. It would be cool if instead of creating a bunch of different levels, there would just be one giant city, setup kind of like the GTA 3 and Vice City, with different districts/neighborhoods. And leave out all the quarter pipes and ramps that would never normally be there in real life; instead just pick a city like San Francisco or something and create it as close to the real thing as possible, make it so you have to actually look for a good skating spot and not as if everything was your own personal playground. Now for the character interaction. Loan other skaters around the city wheels and tools to make friends or run errands to collect money. Money and friends will be key parts in the game because say you drop off to high of a ledge and your board snaps, what will you do? Well most would say you’re done for the day, but if you can find a friend or a skate shop then you’re in luck. Customization is an important part in this game because the way you set up your deck may raise or lower your character’s abilities. Now for the little details that will make this game that much better, remember back when Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX came out and it had the feature that when you crashed your body formed to your surroundings? That is a must have. Another thing that would make this game a little better is a create video mode. How this would be done is by going into a skate shop and paying a worker there to film you taking some time to show your skills, or you could ask a friend to do it for free but it may not be as professional. These tapes if good enough could make you some serious money
