These are the types of jobs that you could earn some cash in, not all types of job are the same but as a Mech pilot you will be handling them big robotic hulks in your job all other jobs are ran by NCPs such as shop keepers train drivers and other types of non Mech related jobs, as a Mech pilot your main role just as it says you will pilot Mechs, Depending on what job you go for will give you the range or Mechs you can pilot from Small assault type SCM unit [spider class Mechs] to Ape shaped Loader Mechs.
Each Job will come with its own range of Mechs all with different skills and abilities
taking an example would be the SCM units. There are 4 types of these Mechs, the Mechs all have a similar look but different attributes and skills but are classed in levels from 1st generation officer SCMs to 4th generation D5 SCM units.
all of these Mechs are almost the same sides from the factory extras they all possess.
[Law enforcement]
This is a job for those who want some action, there are two types of law enforcement Mechs Assault Mechs and Pursuit Mechs.
with both type there are sub classes of Mech for the assault class there's 4 jobs
1. Officer
2. officer 1st class
3. SWAT
4. D5 covert ops
each will use its own type of Mech and have its own Job to perform
Officers will use a 1st gen SCM and will be used in arresting criminals for pick up by the transport ships.
Officer 1st class have the same job as the officers but are able to use deadly force if need be
Swat will use the 3rd gen SCM units and will be assisted by other 3rd gen SCM units in taking out a hostile situation.
D5 covert ops is a specialist class that is used in delicate matters of kidnapping and hostage situations. this class being the stealth style of the assault class will have you behind enemy lines with only melee weapons and long range sniper weapons. mainly used in assassinations recon and rescues this is the top level Mech class in the assault law enforcement job and is hard to obtain.
The second type of job in Law enforcement is Pursuit, this involves high powered Mechs fast chases and lots of action. you will be piloting a Pursuit class Mech and there's only two types of these, air & ground the air unit will be used in mainly keeping tabs on a fast moving Criminal in Mech of hover craft but can switch to assault mode if the chase ends up in a stand off. The ground type is a fast moving bike like Mech that can chase and keep up with the fastest of Mechs and hover craft. this unit is mainly assisted by a partner air pursuit unit who can give directions to the ground Mech automatically if the objective is in line of site. This Mech also has a assault mode in the event of a stand off, both Mechs are armed with a scale to Mech sized assault rifle & net launcher also in the event of a stand off they can call for SCM assistance from officers or Swat.
[The PCM units [Pursuit Class Mech units]
These units are the bike and hover craft that keep the roads safe from Speeding Mechs or dangerous getaways the two types of unit are both similar in there Mech form but in there Pursuit mode they take on a hover craft and Bike vehicle.
Air pursuit Mech :: This is the faster of the two classes of Pursuit Mech and is used more for tracking NCP speed offenders then to capture them, as a Pursuit Mech pilot you are pared up with a Ground pursuit pilot to patrol a area. This Mech is a transforming Mech and can change from Pursuit hover craft to assault Mech in seconds
equipped with a Oversized assault rifle it can defend its self in a hostile situation or use its net launcher to disable run away NCPs. also equipped with a EMP grenade that can disable any Mechs with out Anti EMP platting.
Ground pursuit Mech :: This is the Pursuit and capture class of the two as it can chase down the fastest of all Mechs and disable them easily with a EMP grenade.
in Mech mode it is armed with A large Scale to Mech sized assault rifle and Net launcher.
The SCM units [Spider Class Mech units]
These units are use by the Mech city law informant agency in keeping crime at a minim and all possess climbing abilities so they can scale walls and hang from the ceiling in an attempt to capture or eliminate criminals.
1st gen :: These SCM units are basically the first or the SCM class Mechs they are spider shaped and posses no armour or deadly weapons they have a net launcher mounted on there back.
2nd gen :: This class SCM is almost identical to its predecessor apart from the fact it is more armoured and has a 12mm cannon mounted on its under belly as well as the net launcher.
3rd gen :: This is a more agile craft slightly bigger the 1st n 2nd gen SCM units this one possesses more armour and heavy weapons use in anti terrorist situations. this SCM is more like a spider tank and can take more damage then its older brothers, the SCM has no net launcher or 12mm cannon but a twin Vulcan cannon on its back and a grenade launcher on its under belly that can be equipped with 5 types of grenade [frost, smoke, frag, EMP & flashbang] the twin Vulcan on its back is a rapid fire 12mm twin cannon that can be set to semi automatic fire if the turrets are locked but on rotation it can reach up to 1800rpm and unload just as many shells per minuet too. unlike its former SCM units this one has the ability to hover via side mounted jets. this makes the craft nosy as well as fast
4th gen D5 prototype :: there are only a hand full of these units and they tend to be more back to the drawing board then its brother SCMs as unlike its brothers it is more Flea the Spider its highly athletic body and light frame make this more agile then any of the SCM units and more deadly. unlike the 3rd gen this one goes back to a non flight SCM but in replace to the jet engines is a Flea like body and the same ability to job like a flea reaching up to 1400 feet in one jump. The looks and agility is not the only thing that makes this type of SCM unique as it also cuts back on armour and weapons. The DG prototype has more melee weapons for close combat such as a two articulated arms with dagger style claws on the end and a fine techno wire that can cut almost any type of metal, the 4th SCM unit has the ability to cloak its self using a state of the are thermal camouflage that renders it almost invisible to the naked eye
but the SCM is not able to avoid heat vision or sensors. this is one of the rear classes of Mech available to people and along with the Mech/job comes a high pay cheque and a responsibility to look after is too . the last weapons is a 360 degree sniper cannon this cannon is hidden under the back shell and along with a mounted camera can snipe NCPs form a far. the cannon can be used as a automatic defence if you are being sneaked up on to with its silencer it goes un detected but can only be used when un clocked.
[Taxi Jobs]
This is one for those Crazy taxi fans as it involves taking NPCs & real players to the destination of there choice. there's only one Mech class for this job but it is a upgradeable Mech that can have many upgrades these include Speed upgrades and navigation upgrades along with the upgrades the longer you have been a Taxi Mech pilot the more Experience you get and the more Experience you get the higher the demand or NPCs will have for your personal service.
Taxi Mech :: Unarmed and lighter then a father this Mech is a basic centurion style hover craft with a Mech front body the back of the Mech is luxury passenger area that can hold up to 6 other players or NPCs while the main Mech can travel around the city to a marked destination, the whole Mech is shaped like a large horse bodied Mech .
looks sleek and can travel fast also it can use walk mode this makes it more horse like.
[Cargo transport jobs]
From the day of the Movie Aliens the power loader has taken many forms and cargo Mechs are just a few. This job is a job where Mechs load and unload cargo from shuttles and load them in to skipper hover crafts there are 3 types of Cargo Mechs the heavy lifting type the platform lifter Mech and the power loader type
Heavy lifter Mech :: This is a Ape like Mech that can lift containers weighing in at over 200 tones. The Mech is by far one of the biggest Mechs with in the city and is used not only in cargo transport but also in lifting materials for construction this Mech has two mighty arms with large padded hands that can grip any type of container in scale to a average human it is around 90 times the size of a average ape. Heavy lifter Mechs are also used in Live Mech battles this can also be one of the major specials of any battle.
Platform Mech :: Tripod looking Mechs that may look weak but are actually very strong due to the internal architecture and metal alloy it's made out of. standing 60ft high this Mech uses its strong legs and arms to lift containers and stack them or move them short distances. It is used in most shipping yards to arrange the cargo and uses a barcode reader on its under belly to scan the contents manifesto on top of the containers so it knows what containers go where.
the pilots job is to move the Mech in to load and unload position.
Power loader :: The smaller Mech used in moving smaller items from A to B with no fuss. its power full legs and arms are almost the same as its bigger brother and looks more manlike then ape like as it doesn't need the leg support like the heavy lifer Mech it also have large padded hands that can grip well.
[Construction & Demolition jobs]
The fun job of building homes for the homeless and destroying old buildings to make way for new development there are many Mechs in this field but not all are ran by pilots as most are ran by NPCs. The main piloted Mech classes for these jobs are the Demo Mechs, Large Rhino style Mechs that can tear a building apart with its hammering head. Other classes are the drill Mech, small agile Mechs with a Laser drill that can bore holes at any size. welding Mech these Mechs can create strong bonds between the Structured girders of a building frame also like the cargo Mechs the construction heavy Lifter is a tweaked model of its cargo brother. the pilots jobs are to Aid in the building of new development and destruction of the old.
Demolition Mechs :: these are large Rhino shaped Mechs that ram down buildings with bruit force. The Mech also has a Intense Pyro cannons that can burn and softens structures making them easier to topple.
Drill Mech :: This is a mole form Mech that has the ability to Drill holes with a Laser cannon built in to its nose and strong Paddle shaped arms can push down on a item to help hold it steady for drilling.
Welding Mech :: This is like the SCM units of the Law enforcement job as its spider like in shape and can scale up a buildings frame where it attaches its self to the joins and used two super heated prongs to cut and weld structures together.
Construction lifers Mech :: Almost identical to the Cargo heavy lifter class Mech this Mech is ape shaped 90ft high and has strong arms. unlike its cargo brother this Mech has the ability to hold structures high up and can support its own body with more agility.
[War Jobs]
This is like the Law enforcement job in some way but the difference will be your going to be on even grounds with other Mechs. this job will evolve stepping into the desert surrounding the Mech City and defend it from other Invading NPC Mechs that threaten the peaceful Mech City. there are only two types of Mech in the army yours and there's
this is where customisation comes in to its own and salvage becomes a big part of this job. unlike all the other jobs this is one of the low pay jobs and can be given to almost any one with a Pilot passport. you will be assigned one Mech that you can use outside of the city a desert model Mech. Repair and upkeep of this Mech is totally down to you. your desert Mech will be given to you on lone till you can afford to pay for it But it will not be allowed in to the City only in to the Mech hanger.
Desert Mech :: A scrap heap of a Mech that you can use in battle The Mech is built like a human and is not to agile but upgrades can change this. after time you can upgrade this with many features you can find in the City Mechs and more as you kill NPC Mechs you are able to salvage parts and use them in your own Mech. the Mech is a dirty old Decommissions WW3 Mech that needs a lot of parts and upgrades but still works as good as it did when it was new. as time goes on this Mech can be upgraded with almost any compatible weapon of armour. |
