You know those arcade games, which have the plastic skateboard attached to the pivot? Well, a really cool attachment that would do wonders for Real Life Skateboarding and other boarding games would be the Finger E-Board. It, in effect, is a miniature fingerboard, attached by a pivot in the center, and a pressure-sensitive spring on the tail and nose. To do an ollie, just tap the tail; the pressure acts as a button which in the game, acts as the ollie button. The same action is used for the nollie, except you do that by tapping the nose. To go into switch mode, just double tap left or right on the board. The turn of the pivot presses a button on either side, which acts as left or right buttons on a controller. In the air, the real fun begins. If you turn left or right on the e-board, the board turns left or right in the game. If you tilt backwards or forwards on the e-board, you do a back flip or a front flip in the game. To do, say, a kickflip, you would have a side controller for your other hand, which has 6 buttons. The first two, activated by the thumb enter you in either flip or grab mode, and combinations of the other 4 do the designated moves. Another part of the game is on the bottom; you can switch the buttons to either the right or left hand, as fingerboarding is a righty/lefty activity. Another cool thing that should be included with this board is a plasma screen on the bottom of the board. That way, when you download new deck graphics and such, the graphics would actually appear on the bottom of the board. There should also be a side screen attached to the base that shows what position your board is in. This should clear up a lot of confusion. This sounds like a brilliant idea-not sure about the plasma screen though, because if it's on a pivot, it would probably be attactched to a joystick like 'base', so you wouldn't see the bottom ;) It would be cool if it was force feedback to, so if you tilt forwards in the air the board tips forwards etc. Also, instead of the side controller, you could have the board a bit bigger than a finger board (like 3x the size) and have buttons in the middle of the board. Also you could have some sort of 'treadmill' build into the base to the side of the board-you take one finger off the board and kick it back along the treadmill, just like kicking back on a skateboard, to push it along.

Sounds like your fingers might get tired after a bit. I'm also sceptical about the miniature plasma screen on the bottom of the board; and the "tredmill" comment above sounds rather interesting. I like the concept of this piece of equiptment; although I don't think it would be successful as a universal controller (suitable for all platforms). I think this controller would most likely be a game in itself, like a gameboy (handheld). All in all, this is an acceptioal idea. Keep up the good work,
