My idea of a game is a massive multiplayer war game online. This one would be like none other though. You would be part of a federal army out to rid the world of alien bugs. You start out as a private and have to join a squad. There are a couple of ways you can join a squad.. One is the people that control the server assign you one. Or if you are good enough a squad leader from an elite squad will ask you to join. You can also ask for a transfer if you are not fit. If you get kicked out of a squad you will be put into another squad that is low ranked. The lesser squads have all the suicided missions. These squads are usually commanded by a rank higher than a private but never an officer. Which brings me to my next point. How to get control of a squads. You get control of a squad when your ranking goes up. And when the server people see that your stats are good enough to command your own squads.. When you are first assigned men for your squad you have to do dangerous missions. But as your men rack up more kills and points they start to get respected more. And till finally they become an elite squad from Which they can make up there own name like the rough necks or something like that. Once you have your own elite squad you can ask people from other squads to come fight for you or you can stay with the men that helped you get that position.

You can move up rank by seeing a lot of action or getting war medals like saving somebodies life. The game play consist on team play. The aliens are to strong to be taken out by one person.
And if you want your buddy to stay in your squads you stand and fight. Because once you die in the game you start back as a private in a horrible squad. If your squads leader dies the second in rank will take over. If someone kills there own teammate or the squads leader shows incomfadence in his command then you will be court marshaled and relieved of your command.

It seems to me that everybody is really just all on one team. Forget the whole squad idea and stick with one huge team. If this is in fact going to be an online server game, the person running the server should not be in control of everything. The game itself should sort out ranks. For example: If you are a low rank player, you start out equipt with a low rank weapon. Then once your rank grows, you are equipt with higher ranked weapons that are more powerful. Questions: What is the purpose of the game? Where's the plot? Are you just trying to invade these aliens and see how many you can kill? or do you progress to certain stages in the game? A little rough around the edges but it's got potential.
