Westwoods’s game art & design program will teach you everything you will need to know before you apply for a job in the game industry.

Ever wonder how your body works? How the stomach digests, the heart pumps, and the lungs breath? Well, in Body Battle, you control all of the bodily functions. The main screen is a highlight of the body. You can zoom in on the inside to get a closer look of what’s happening. Each body part must be controlled. The brain is independent, and controls the actions. But, you can influence them, and you also have to do involuntary things. The main parts to look at are the heart, lungs, and stomach. For the heart, you can control the tempo, and when the body starts to walk, or run, you have to adjust the speed. If the veins get clogged for some reason, you can put heart pain into effect. If the body hurts for any reason, it’ll stop what it is doing and tend to its injuries. If you get a cut or stab wound, you must produce extra blood. At your lungs, you can control oxygen intake. The stomach may be the most significant area, though. You have to separate the different food groups, and make sure that the food turns into carbs, protein, etc. You also have to control acid levels, and adjust how much nutrition you send out, depending on other levels. You also have to control other stuff like the liver, kidneys, spleen, intestines, nervous system, bones, and large muscles. The real interesting part of the game, is when diseases invade the body. Different diseases have to be treated differently. First, you start using the lymph nodule system. You have to create white blood cells, different levels in different places, depending on the disease. If not finished off quickly, you can make a fever, and other symptoms. By then the brain would cause the body to go to the doctor, and get an antidote. But, if you want to be immune later, it would be wise to fight it inside the body. Injuries and other stuff like that are exactly the same. In easy mode, you start off as a regular, healthy person. In medium level difficulty, you are an asthmatic guy with bad teeth, glasses… slightly unhealthy. In hard mode, though, you begin as a hemophiliac in a wheelchair, and in super hard mode (opened after beating hard mode), you are a dangerously obese guy with blood that it too thick, and very, very messed up legs. In shorter terms, it’s a resource management game similar to Ages of Empires, but with an anatomic twist.

I see you've puit a lot of thought into this idea, it is very well organized. This is indeed interesting and an excellent strategy/simulation game. I like the added feature of difficulty levels, it's gives certain players, that don't know too much about the body, to play as well. Not only would this game be fun, but it is very education. Great job. There is no doubt in my mind that a developer, interested in a strategic, educational, simulation game will come across this fantastic idea. This is, by far, one of your best- keep working hard!
