Room for Improvements

Devil May Cry 3: First of all, I would like to say that the addition of Lucia's disk to Devil May Cry 2 was a really good idea. I would also like to state that leaving Trish out of the game was a really bad idea. Therefore, I would like Devil May Cry 3 to feature three disks, Dante, Lucia, and Trish. You will need to play all three of these in that order to get the full story. Might I say that the first two games were way too short. The third one should have at least twenty five levels per disk. A game can still have great replay value if it isn't short. Another improvement for the third game would be dialougue. The vioce acting should be decent, characters should interact with eachother commonly, and Dante should have his cocky ass attitide. I thought that having a Phantom battle in the second game was cool, but I was dissapionted when the Phantom didn't say one word. All Mr. Magma did was roar and then get the crap blasted out of him. In the third game, it would be cool for Dante, Trish, and Lucia to have little mouthing off sessions before each boss battle. It wouldn't hurt to make the enemies talk a little. Also, every single enemy should have an intense cutscene introducing it, even if it has already done so in a previous game. No more dropping out of the sky saying "Hi, I'm a big ugly freak! Pleas chop me into tiny pieces!" Anyway, onto the gameplay.

Gameplay
Dante's Disk: In Devil May Cry 2, Dante's game ended in a cutscene in which he announces that he is going straight to hell. Therefore, that is the kind of scenery that Dante's game revolves around. It wouldn't hurt to stick with the organ theme (In which it appears that you are traveling through the organs of some unknown beast.) but as the game progresses, move into a more firey, hell-like environment. Dante's appearance should not change at all from the second game, and the same guy should do his voice. Afterall, this game SHOULD pickup from exactly where the second game left off. The controls for Dante should be as they were in the second game, with combos such as the spin bash, yet he should also have old techniques such as the sashimi. Dante starts out with his standard sword, the Rebellion, although it should probably be a little more interesting in this game. Maybe it could transform into its powerful true form, much as the Force Edge transformed into Sparda. He also starts with his trusty handguns, Ebony and Ivory. You start out with the Devil Trigger from the second game, but as the game progresses, you get new forms of Devil Trigger. Or perhaps I should say OLD forms of Devil Trigger, becuase you find the classic devil arms Alastor and Ifrit. Now, In the first game, Dante gets Alastor by having it stab through his chest, and then he does some matrix thingy to get out of it, which was just frickin awesome. In the second game, he finds his swords thrown against the wall with no cutscene. BLAAAAH. There should be new, cool cutscenes of how he finds these weapons again, it gives them more personality. (I already have a cool idea for how Dante finds his old companion, the force edge. In the game, he gets in a tangle with an old rival, Nelo Angelo! After they fight, Nelo announces that they must go their seperate ways, and then Nelo tosses Dante the Force Edge!) Also, the idea of being able to purchase specific moves for weapons in the first game was very cool. The second game allowed you to level up your swords and guns, which was also cool. I don't know why they didn't have both in Devil May Cry 2, but that's how it should by in Devil May Cry 3. You should start out with classic moves, such as Air Raid and Air Hike with Alastor, but be able to purchase others later, such as classic roundrtrip, and the new, hmm, lightning rod, which allows Dante to plunge his sword into the ground, sending beams of electricity towards his enemies homing missle style! (Yes, I just made that up.) The idea of finding Amulets was neat in Devil May Cry 2, and in the third game, I think that they should stay, but new ones should be added. For example, Dante starts out with the Airial Heart, (its different for each character) but finds new elemental hearts along the way. Yet I think some amulets should be found along with swords. For example: When you find Alastor and Ifrit, you obtain the electro-heart and flame-heart, but you can not change them when that weapon is equipped. However, when you have a normal type weapon, such as the Force Edge or Rebellion equipped, you may change elemental amulets as you please.

Climax: The climax of a game should run with the storyline, in which the game makers did not focus enough on in Devil May Cry 2. You should always know that you have an objective and how to carry it out, so you are not just running around blind in a video game finding things that you didn't even know you were looking for. Here's Dante's objective for this game. Dante's Mother is trapped in hell, and the only way to free her is to defeat Satan. If Dante fails, his mother will be trapped in hell forever! Now you know what you're trying to do, which makes for a better climax, well, here it is.
Dante enters the lair of satan and tells him to show himself. Satan's appearance is that of a darker, evil dante. That's right, a shadowy figure of our hero. He announces that Dante has come to far, and it is time for his life to end. A fight ensues, which is supposedly the final boss. The final boss has pretty much every technique you have purchased up to this piont. A good time to test your swordsmanship! I want this fight to be really, really hard. A gamemaker should strive to make a game as hard as possible, but still make it fun. (then focus on a hard mode.) Anyway, after Satan is defeated, he starts to become humongous and doesn't look remotely like Dante anymore. Yet another fight starts. You know what to do. If you manage to defeat this form, Nelo Angelo appears!
Nelo Angelo calls Dante a fool for defeating Satan, because for every King Of Hell who is defeated, a new one must rise up, even more powerful one must rise up and take the previous one's place. Nelo thanks Dante for doing the work, and then starts to mutate into the next King Of Hell! Just then, Dante and Nelo spot someone interrupting their battle. Not Trish, Not Lucia, but...Eva??? Who is Eva, you ask? I'll give you a hint, read lines 8-11 of this paragraph. Still lost? Eva is Dante's mother. She was released from her prison when Satan was killed.
Back to the cutscene
"Virgil, please, stop this madness!" Eva begs. (For those of you who are confused, Virgil is Nelo Angelo's real name.) "Ha, Fool of a human!" Bellows Nelo, and before Dante can do anything, he strikes his mother dead. Whoo man, Dante is pissed now. Well, if you manage to defeat Nelo, who is the real last boss, you will be given a cutscene in which Dante returns to Earth to find...Eva? No, you didn't miss anything. Eva explains to Dante that Nelo only destroyed her soul. She then keels over. It becomes apparant to Dante that if he does not find a way to return his mother's soul soon, she will die and be cast into oblivion! To be continued in Devil May Cry...4? Unlockables should include Nelo Angelo as a playable character, along with his sword for all characters to use!

Trish's Disk: In the first game, Trish joined Dante in his investigations, helping him along his quests. However, she was not given a role in Devil May Cry 2, making it a bit difficult to pinpiont just where the hell she went. Anyway, in the beggining of her game on Devil May Cry 3, she returns to Devil Never Cry (Dante's office) to find Lucia. A bit confused on who she is, they have a little fight, and then discover that they're both Dante's friend, blah blah blah. They both decide to go looking for Dante, in case he needs help. To get to Dante, they have to get to the underworld, and to get to the underworld, they need to find an entrance. There are only two entrances at the time being, how convenient. Trish's entrance resides somewhere in the sewers of the metropolis. Sucks to be her. Trish's controls are almost identical to Dante's, except she has a few different sword combos, and she can run on and up walls as long as you hold the O button. Trish starts with the sword of Sparda, and the dark knights handguns, Luce and Ombra The first half of Trish's game is in the big city at night, where few people roam, but just enough to cause chaos when a demon comes crashing down. To many a player's dissapiontment, Trish does not gain any more swords in this portion of the game, but does obtain many firearms, such as the shotgun, nightmare-beta, and sniper-rifle. These all prove to be quite useful, especially against a returning and vengeful Infested Chopper! When Trish enters the underworld, although it is a gloomy place, players will be pleased to discover that a new sword, the merciless, is found. (Don't forget, cool and creative ways of finding weapons would be appreciated!) Although the merciless is not as powerful as Sparda, it has a huge range, and more techniques can be learned with it. The Devil Arms that Trish finds are as follows:
(Dante does not find any of these except for Sparda. He gets Force Edge, Sparda, Rebellion, Alastor, Ifrit.)
Sparda
Merciless
Vendetta
Dark Gauntlet (sort of a black sparda)
Iket (The electric versions of Ifrit!!! In Lucia's game, you find Icet, the Ice versions of Ifrit!) Trish's Devil Triggers are the same with all of the weapons, although she can use different amulets and techniques depending on which sword you are using. She only gets a second, more impressive Devil Trigger if you can make it to the...

Climax: Trish enters the liar of Satan. She thinks that she has spotted Dante, and starts running towards him. Suddenly, he dissapears! The ground begins to rumble, and a deep, booming, and horribly familiar voice is heard. "TRISH! YOU WILL GO NO FURTHER! I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE, AND THEN I WILL CRUSH YOUR PRECIOUS DANTE! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Three white archaic circles resembling eyes appear on the ground, and out bursts...
MUNDUS!!! Mundus is back, and he's pissed. Trish tries to remain calm. Since Mundus has regained his angel form, Trish bravely states, "Oh, you're not showing your face today? We all know how pretty you are under that shell." Mundus's rage has reached its peak. "FOOL!" He bellows. "I'VE SENT YOU TO HELL ONCE, AND I'LL DO IT AGAIN NOW!" Trish just smirks. "Sorry, but I'm already there."
This fight seems almost impossible to win. Trish's attacks are about as strong as a flyswatter. In fact, this fight is actually designed for you to LOSE! (If you manage to win, you will unlock infinite Devil Trigger for Trish) The best thing to do is stand still and let Mundus kill you. When he does, a cutscene will interrupt where Mundus is about to finish Trish off. Trish hears Dante in pain in the distance, and his cry releases a burst of energy deep within Trish. Trish transforms into a much more impressive half-devil half-angel form, and you will begin two fights with Mundus...in the same style as the original Devil May Cry!
Once you succeed, a cutscene will play, in which Trish meets Dante's mother. (That's gonna be awkward!) Dante tells Trish about the whole "we need to get her soul back before she dies" deal. Role the credits for Trish's disk!

Lucia's Disk: Trish got stuck with the sewer entrance to the underworld, and Lucia was left with an entrance that resides seep in a desert outside of the city. The game begins with a cutscene of Lucia boarding a train for the outskirts of town, when she meets an old freind. And when I say old, I mean in the nineties. Matier, who is Lucia's mother (sort of. Man, she leads an awkward life.) warns Lucia not to go looking for Dante, for the prophecies tell that if she does, the consequences shall be great. Does she heed Matier's advice? I'll give you a hint: my game idea keeps going.
Lucia's controls have been fitted out like Dante's. Same controls as Devil May Cry 2, with a few added combos. Lucia cannot run on walls for very long, so she is the least useful wall-runner. The first half of the game is spent wandering around a giant tomb in the desert trying to find the gates of hell, and the second half, much like Trish's game, resides in the gloomy bowels of the underworld. Lucia's disk features more enemies from previous games, such as Frosts, Blades, a very annoyed Plutonian, and that darn Trismagia. Lucia finds weapons in reverse from Trish's game: She finds mostly devil arms in the first half but barely any projectiles\firearms until the second half. Her weapons include her good old Klaymoors, along with new weapons such as giant scissors! She starts out with the airial heart AND the Frost Heart, but finds less elemental hearts than Dante and Trish. Her weapons are as follows

Projectiles\Firearms
Throwing knives(wonder where she keeps them...)
Darts
Cranky Bombs
Ninga Stars(High accuracy, explode on impact, really hard to get to.)
Bow gun

Devil Arms
Cutlaseers
Klaymoors
Zambaks
Sin Scissors(No, they don't allow you to fly around)
Razor Winds (A pair of giant buzz-saw blades that she tosses around. High accuracy but very low recoil)

Climax: Long after entering the underworld, Lucia finally finds the lair of Satan. To her astonishment, Matier beat her there somehow.
"I have warned you not to come, my child. Now you have forced my to take drastic measures. I cannot allow you to go any further, you have read the prophecies."
"Mother, NO!" Lucia shouts.
Suddenly, Satan appears, he gives a cocky little speech, and then posseses Matier! Matier is now in demon for, with long spears for hands. Don't laugh at the small size of your final oppenent, she is incredibly tough and extremely hard to hit.
If you win, the ending cutscene plays.
Dante comes running, as Lucia stands over her possesed mother. She has to finish her off. Lucia pluges her cutlaseer through possesed Matier's heart, but Matier openes her eyes and a spear shoots from her hand, impaling Lucia! Matier Dies. Dante catches Lucia as she falls. Lucia thanks Dante for showing her that she wasn't just a devil, and she dies. Dante sheds a tear.
Hey, its the name of the game, right?
Additions
Even when disk 3 is over, players can still enjoy themselves not only with awesome replay value but with a two player mode as well!
2-player modes
DMC fans may finally settle the debate over who can dish out more pain with Dante! Or with any character for that matter.
Head2Head: Must I really explain? Pick your favorite character. Beat the crap out of eachother.
Yeah, Head2head is simply a deathmatch between two grudging foes. Choose from either the main three characters or even secret characters that must be unlocked by beating certain parts of the game. When choosing your character, you may start with a default, or load your own character form a current game.
Arena: Same thing as Head2head, yet up to 4 players can participate either through cordless play or live internet battles!
Ally: ALLY MODE IS UNLOCKED BY BEATING ALL 3 DISKS ON "HARD" MODE. AN EXCELLENT HELP FOR THE "MUST DIE!" MODES.
In ally mode, up to 4 players may participate in the story mode. Example: When playing Trish's disk, one player must be Trish and play the actual game, yet 1-3 other characters from the game may join her and play out her story mode with her. If nobody can control 3 players (if you only have two people playing the game) then the computer will control them for you, yet you may only have 1 ally. Live internet play optional.
Mini-games
THE WINNERS OF MINI-GAMES ARE REWARDED WITH RED ORBS, WHICH THEY CAN ADD TO THEIR AMOUNT IF THEY HAVE A GAME ON A SAVE FILE.

1. Fill er up!: Who can fill their Devil Trigger guages the fastest? Bash obstacles, breakables, enemies, computer or opposing players, and even yourself as you race to be the first to reach devil trigger!
Playing: You will be set in small arenas, where various objects and enemies appear and fall from the ceiling. You must be the first to fill your devil trigger gauges. Long DT Gauges are a hell of a lot harder to fill, yet if successful the player is rewarded with more red orbs. And although recieving damage DOES fill up DT, it risks you dying. And no, you do not respawn in this mini-game.

2. Hanger Mayhem: This mini-game was inspired by the ending sequence of DMC in which Dante and Trish escape from Mallet Island in an old WWI biplane.
Playing: First, you must choose a stage and player. The object is to be the last one alive in the air. You will fly around the stages, trying to avoid obstacles and enemies as you blast your opponents out of the sky.
1. WWI biplane: EXPERT : The biplane has extremely difficult handling, and weak machine-gun weapons. It's defense is very low. However, the biplane is capable of soaring at great speeds. Reccomended for experts.
2. Devil Trigger Air Raid: EXPERT : The Air Raid Technique has fairly powerful attacks and mediocre handling and speed, but horrible defense. Reccomended for experts.
3. Death Scythe: ADVANCED : The Death Scythe enemy has mediocre defense, difficult attacks using semi-close range scythe weapons, and extremely good manuevering. Reccomended for Advanced Players.
4. Gryffon: ADVANCED : The Gryffon Boss has devastatingly powerful attacks, slow manuevering, and good defense. However, the Gryffon is a very large target, which may serve as a downside to it's defense. Reccomended for Advanced Players.
5. Infested Chopper: HUNTER : The Infested Chopper Boss has very good attacks with machine guns and missles, slow manuevering, and superb defenses from all sides. It is recommended for players that are getting the feel for Devil May Cry.
6. Sin Scythe: HUNTER : If you want to play as Death Scythe, maybe you should take on Sin Scythe as a bit of training first. Sin Scythe has the same overall stats as Death Sythe, just downgraded a bit.
7. Puia: BEGINNER : The Puia bird has horrible defense and attack stats, yet surprisingly good manueverability. Recommended for beginners who need the feel of handling.
8. Goatling: BEGINNER : The goatling enemies have very bad manueverability stats, yet decent defense and attacks. Recommended for beginners who like to go all out.
When you have chosen your player, you may choose from one of the four stages.
1. Mallet Island Caves: Dodge pillers, uprising water, and explosions as Mallet Island comes crashing down. Narrow spaces and many obstacles. Reccomended for Experts.
2. Realms of Hell: Fight in the underworld, dodging volcanic explosions and demonic entitys. Reccomended for Advanced players.
3. Coliseum: Large spaces, yet obstacles are still relentless as thunder crashes from the sky. Reccomended for veteran players.
4. Doomed Metropolis: Fight along the dreary city skies. Large spaces and rare enemies and obstacles. Reccomended for beginners.

3. Draw: It's what trigger happy fans have been waiting for. Using only Ebony and Ivory, blast the most bullets into the target before the time runs out. You may set the amount of time to your pleasure. (10-60 sec) The amount of red orbs you recieve are judged by how many bullets you fired minus how many seconds it took you.

4. Devil Dash: Run like hell! This one's an all out race along a random track. Once again, you may load a character from a save file, and since DT mode makes characters run faster, longer DT gauges will obviously help. However, there will be obstacles and power ups to pick up along the way, so the outcome is never certain.

5. Boss battles: THIS MINI-GAME IS UNLOCKED BY BEATING THE GAME WITH ALL 3 CHARACTERS ON THE "NORMAL" DIFFICULTY
In this game, you will fight a never ending supply of bosses from the game. At first, the bosses will be few and easy, but will get more challenging and tougher as they are defeated. Eventually, you may find yourself fighting 3-5 bosses at once, and some might devil-trigger! This is probably the most expert-level mini game, and the best way to get orbs!
UNLOCKABLES!!!
Normal
Dante's Disc: Unlock 'Denim' resembling Lucia's outfit. You may now play Trish's Disc.
Trish's Disc: Unlock 'Red Leather', resembling Dante's outfit. You may now play Lucia's Disc.
Lucia's Disc: Unlock 'Black Leather', resembling Trish's outfit. You may now play HARD mode.
Hard
Dante's Disc: Unlock 'Black Leather', resembling Trish's outfit. Also unlock the hidden character "Nelo Angelo" and sword. You may now play Trish's disc.
Trish's Disc: Unlock 'Denim', resembling Lucia's outfit. Play Lucia's disc.
Lucia's Disc: Also unlock the secret character "secretary".
MUST DIE!
Dante's Disc: Unlimited Devil Trigger.
Trish's Disc: Hidden character "The Legendary Dark Knight Sparda."
Lucia's Disc: The "Tower of Terror". (Like the Bloody Palace from DMC2.)
EXTRA
After Sparda and Nelo Angelo are unlocked, you may beat the same difficulties to obtain Denim, Red Leather, and Black Leather for them. Also, by playing over the same difficulties, you may unlock 'Neo' outifits (outfits resembling Nelo Angelo's clothes) for Dante, Trish, Lucia, and Sparda, as well as 'formal' outfits (Sparda's clothes) for Nelo, Dante, Trish, and Lucia.

hi sparda. no, not all dante's fans have bit the bullet. ok...on the plus side..your game is well written, provides a wealth of information, and even gives us an ending worthy of the devil may cry series. my gripe? all this creative energy could go into an original game with characters you created. if you love the action horror genre(i do too) why not try coming up with your own stoic hero with a mysterious past. maybe give capcom some competition. still overall you did a great job. keep it up. by the way. surreal is really good. i can't help but to think your own game ideas are far superior to anything else you have written. i want to know more about joshua and less about dante. if you like read wish. its not done but its a sample of the type of games i write.

I read this idea a while back but i wasn't a member, and so i signed up just to say this much:This is the stuff dreams (and great games) are made of.OK so i didnt like the kill Lucia thing, maybe its the chick in me talking, and it does add the needed drama, personally i would like an ending where Trish and Lucia have a fight over Dante catfight style, but maybe its just me. Anyway i agree with nightsavior with ideas like this you should do your own games.Lookin forward to anything as good as this.

Fanfiction?

I do not own a PS2, so I have never played either of the DMC games (though I hear no end about them!). What you have, with a bit of work, is a piece of fanfiction set in the DMC universe. You have a handful of actual game ideas, most of which are not exactly original. Sequels should take what is good about the original and then add as many interesting and innovative twists as possible, rather than update the graphics, length etc slightly and just do more of the same. Yours is not quite as bad as that, but it is closer to the latter than the former. (I know, I'm harsh. By all means hate me, just don't ignore me)

You know, I must agree with NewMan here, although it may appear as if I appreciate this idea more than he does- he he. This is not as innovative as I'd hoped it would've been, but nonetheless, it is an idea. You know, NewMan, now that you've come out of your shell (so to speak) and commented on several ideas, I find myself reading more and more ideas here at GD and thinking to myself, "hmm, I wonder what TheNewMan will say about this one..."- he he. You've done great on commenting on all of our comments. All in all, sparda, you've got a good thing goin' here, however, I tend to think Capcom has their own ideas for #3. P.S. tell Dusty to hurry up with submitting Surreal #2- heh, can't wait to see it!

Wow, you are harsh. But no way in hell I'm gonna ignore you. Yeah bizpimp, I guess Capcom does have their own ideas, but it was fun writing this anyway. I don't think I'll update this anytime soon though, cause I have my hands full with a reeeeaaallly long game idea, not to mention trouble with submitting one.

As mentioned before this idea is the reason i joined Game Discovery. But i was having problems sending comments and now that ive got round the problems im back.I WAS going to submit my own idea for devil may cry 3 but seeing as how this site already contains many a DMC3 idea and my own 'idea' was nothing more than a mixture of pure fanfiction and just general suggestions i gave up long ago.finaly lets get to the message. THIS IS AN OPEN QUESTION TO ANY DMC FANS and possibly anyone from Capcom(though i doubt they'll be here)Questions that need answering from the second Devil May Cry: 1.what REALLY happened to Dantes mom and brother? 2.Where are Alastor Ifrit forceedge/sparda? 3.Why is Dante from dmc1 a different guy from Dante in dmc2? 4.Where the hell is Trish? 5.Where did Lucia get her amulet from? About question 3 i dont want want any crap about different production teams. As for as the which game i liked best personally i liked dmc2 better.I bought DMC2 before i bought the first dmc (i only got it because i saw Dantes face loking at me from the shelf saying buy me)But i really got in the game and was disapointed to read that many people thought it was crap so i got the first game and all i can say is i was disapointed.Dante in 2 was a lot better than Dante in 1!AM I RAMBLING?Anyway i ask that the game is a bit like dmc 1 in setting, objectives and bad ass comments but with the dude from no2 in it!!!!!!!!!!Vee Comment update Whoops got carried away what i meant to say was that i LOVED this idea, minigames story an all.I was just suggesting that the questions above are explained as part of the story! Sorry!***12/10-I have an idea for the unlockable costumes bit- think of a team theme eg each character has their style,Dante-red leather,Trish-black leather, and for the benifit of description Lucia-denim.So the unlockable outfits would consist of the other styles eg Unlock: Dante:black leather and denim Trish:red leather and denim, and Lucia:red and black leather.

Looks like you might need to understand the story just a little better. As for question #1: I don't know HOW you could have missed it if you played game 1, but what the heck. Dante's Mother was killed by demons when he was a child. Dante's brother was also supposedly killed, but really came back to fight Dante in the future (He worked for Mundus.) As for question #2: Trish has Alastor Ifrit and Sparda. Well, at least I'm positive she has Sparda and Ifrit, along with Sparda's handguns Luce and Ombra. In Devil May Cry 2, Trish can be unlocked as a playable character, and she has those weapons. Dante still has the Force Edge: you can unlock it for him in DMC2. My best guess for #3 is this: Dante is different in DMC 2 for three good reasons. One: A different production team was under control of DMC2, and they probably used different animation schemes. (You said you didn't want any crap about different production teams. Well, it isn't crap, it's true.) Two: In DMC2, they tried to add realism in movement, like Dante's hair and cloak moving against the wind. This would surely alter his appearance from the first game. And Three: A new guy is doing his voice. I don't know WHAT the hell happened to Drew Coombes (The original Dante.) but he was apparently replaced with some lame ass dude who doesn't know how to voice-act. Stupid friggin Capcom. Question 4: Where is Trish? Actually, Dante left her back at the old DMC office when he went to the Vidu Marli islands in DMC 2. She followed though, yet she was not included in the cut scenes. As for Question 5: How the hell should I know? Lucia probably got her amulet the same way Dante did, by finding in some random location throughout the game. I'd have to know more about Lucia's past to answer that. And finally, I don't know what the hell is wrong with you. Devil May Cry 1 was WAAAAAY better than DMC 2. But to explain that I'd have to critic the whole game which I don't have time (or room) for.

Hey, I just found an interesting fact: The original DMC team (Team Little Devils) did not work on #2 because they now work for Gamecube. The possibility that they may not work on #3 absolutely terrifies me.

i think that there should be a two player mode availible right from the begining though. there could be a identicle twin brother demose who could play along with dante. they can also get there own mony and exp points so you dont have to share. demose could have a black or dark blue leather jacket. they should not have the same voice though. thank you Thomas Knight

never before have i seen so many comments to an idea (especially from the person who posted it hehe) but really, being a hugantic faburific DMC fan, i like the idea (most of it anyway). Personally i like this idea more than the Surreal (i read that a while ago and wasn't so pleased with some of it). If people can't accept that you're adding on to something you love, that's their problem. I simply think alot more can be added, so in essence your only problem with this idea is lacking originality in your ADDITIONS to it (not storywise, but weapon/enemy/ability wise). Also, the co-op/versus mode is something i thougth about when DMC 1 came out (i bought my ps2 for dmc) and i think it would be amazing. And just for the record, DMC 1 beats the crap out of DMC 2, no questions asked. The music, the levels, the enemies, the moves (aside from the famous wall running), the devil triggers, the entire atmosphere, were all better in the first game by far. stupid new development team. well good work, i read this now and i read this along time ago, just couldn't post my comment before.

The first thing that came to my mind after reading this idea was: "Capcom could take a hint." Three discs, three characters (plus extras) and so many more gameplay options. Mini-games are a great addition, and so are the other multiplayer ideas. Which reminds me...I haven't updated my DMC3 idea...Teufel-Nie Schrei (Devil Never Cry)... Anyway, great idea. And do keep up the excellent work (minus the typos that were here and there - they didn't take anything away from the overall enjoyment).

This is a very good idea that more than deserves to be in the Primary section. I feel that you perfectly described how the Devil May Cry sequel should be. 3 discs is plenty of game play and unlockables in my opinion. I hate to use this post for something like this, but I wanted everyone to check out my game idea DarkShadow located in the Secondary section under action. I want more comments for my idea so I know what to work on. But anyway, 10/10 you deserve the raiting dude!
