Remember when Super Smash Brothers came out for the Nintendo 64? Well, I thought it would be awesome to make a similar game...for the Playstation 2. I have named my game
PLAYSTATION 2 TOURNAMENT
Gameplay: Gameplay for this game will be quite interesting. You can configure the controls to either DEFAULT, in which every character's controls are very similar, (for example: Pressing the square button preforms a regular punch, but pressing Forward, Square, your character will preform a more powerful punching attack. This will be the same for every character on DEFAULT mode.) or you can choose CLASSIC mode, where the characters will have their original controls from their original games.
Here are all the characters featured in PS2 Tournament, from your favorite PS2 games! Notice that every other character is unlocked by beating the game with the previous one.
1. Dante (from Devil May Cry)
2. Trish (from Devil May Cry)
3. Solid Snake (from Metal Gear Solid 2)
4. Raiden (from Metal Gear Solid 2)
5. Crash Bandicoot (from the CB games)
6. Tiny Tiger (from the CB games)
7. Gabriel Logan (from the Syphon Filter games)
8. Lian Xing (from the Syphon Filter games)
9. Lara Croft (from Tomb Raider:Angel of Darkness)
10.Lara Croft (from the original Tomb Raider)
11.Tony Hawk (from TH's Pro Skater games)
12.Neversoft corpse (from TH's Pro Skater games)
13.Jun (From Tekken 4)
14.Ogre (From Tekken 4)
15.Ryu (From the street fighter games)
16.Akuma (From the street fighter games)
17.Tanner (from Driver 2)
18.Tommy (from Gran Theft Auto: vice city)
19. Goku (from DBZ Budokai)

Each character starts with 0% damage, but as they are hurt more, the damage goes up in percentage. Different attacks do different amounts of damage. Most characters are in danger of being knocked off the screen when around 150% or 200%
Much like SSB, there will be an item configuration option, in which you can choose how often and what kind of items and weapons will drop from the sky during your battles. Item configuration is not an option during story mode.
The Items and weapons that drop from the sky are as follows:
1. Red Orbs (from the Devil May Cry games, they heal you 50%)
2. Yellow Orbs (from Devil May Cry, they heal your damage by a whopping 200%)
3. Bandanna (from Metal Gear Solid 2, it enhances your attack power and allows you to attack at a much faster rate.)
4. Stealth Camoflauge (Turns you semi-invisible for 30 seconds, no one can hit you during this time, either.)
5. Wumpa Bazooka (from the crash bandicoot games, it shoots Wumpa fruit at enemies, doing 20% damage each time it hits. 40 ammo)
6. Nitro (from the crash bandicoot games, when a player steps on this, it explodes, doing 70% damage.)
7. Grenade (from the Syphon Filter games, does 70% damage when thrown at an enemy.)
8. Tear Gas (from the Syphon Filter games, cuases the player to remain stationary and cough for fifteen seconds.)
9. Handguns (from the Tomb Raider games, does 5% damage each time they hit, 50 ammo each.
10. Pandora's Box (from Tomb Raider, Cradle of life, kills all enemies onscreen with a huge explosion, player automatically wins, 5% chance of getting one every battle)
11. Skateboard (from the Tony Hawk games, player rides around on a skateboard, greatly increasing speed.)
12. Neversoft Eyeball (from the Tony Hawk games, eyeball rolls back and forth until it hits someone, causing 30% damage.)
13. Chicken (from Tekken 4, heals player 25%)
14. King Head (from Tekken 4, pick this up and every attack will do 50% to the enemy.)
15. Uzi (from Gran Theft Auto 3, does 5% damage with every hit, 200 ammo.)
16. Capsule (from DBZ Budokai, either lets out one of the above stated items, or explodes, causing 50% damage.)
17. Dragon Ball (from DBZ Budokai, collect six of these during a battle, and you win!)
The stages in PS2 Tournament will be from the games of all the charactrers. However, instead of being 2D, like the SSB games, these stages are presented in massive 3D environments.
The stages for PS2 Tournament are as follows.
1. Mallet Island (Battle on the demonic island where devils roam free!)
2. Devil Never Cry Office (Duke it out in Dante's office from Devil May Cry!)
3. Tanker (The Tanker from Metal Gear Solid 2, where Snake does his missions!)
4. Plant (The ol Big Shell from Metal Gear Solid 2 where Raiden does his missions!)
5. Turtle Woods (wreak havoc in Crash Bandicoot's home!)
6. Neo Cortex's spaceship (Hold intense battles and admire the stars while you're doing it!)
7. Washington streets (battle in the chaotic streets of washington fom Syphon Filter, watch out for bullets fired by terrorists and cops!)
8. Pharcom Warhouses (Fight in the spooky warhouses from Syphon Filter!)
9. Ancient Temple (Hold your private wars Tomb Raider style!)
10. The Cradle of Life (Battle in the Tomb of the Cradle of Life, straight out of th Tomg Raider movie!)
11. Skate Park (avoid the reckless skaters as you dish out the beatings around vert ramps and rails!)
12. Neversoft House (the creepy house from the Suburbs level of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, I presume?)
13. Cell's Stadium (straight out of my favorite DBZ episode.)
14. Super Speedway (take on your enemy while dodging the suped-up cars from Gran Turismo 3: Aspec!)

I could be wrong about this, but at the least, the vast majority of the characters in the nintendo game were characters from 1st party developers (ie they were part of Nintendo). Very few (if any?) of the games developed that have the characters you mentioned are 1st party, which means the dreaded licencing fees crops its ugly head up again. There is some inventiveness here, not all good (remove pandora's box! Winning by default benefits no-one!). But primarily, this seems like a 'me-too' kind of game- you know, one company makes a sucessful game and then suddenly every other company is making a cheap knock-off equivalent. That kind of behaviour should be condemned, not condoned! Repeat after me: Must Try Harder!

Remove Pandora's box? As I stated, it rarely ever comes around, so it might be pretty cool when you're playing for the 150th time and you finally get one. And yes, the liscensing fees for this game would be enormous, but come on, it's only an idea. Okay, maybe I am being a little lame, copying Super Smash Bros., but I just think it would be awesome if similar games came out for PS2 and Xbox. Oh, by the way, anybody know the names of the dudes from Driver and GTA? Do they even have names!?

yeah sparda, the guy from Driver is named Tanner. Sorry, but I don't know if the guy form GTA's name (if he even has one).

Finally! The dude from Driver's name is Tanner, and I'm pretty sure the dude from GTA's name is Tommy. Thank's for the help bizpimp!

If you mean the guy from GTA 3, Rockstar once said he was called Chris, but I can't remember his last name..sorry
Gta Vice city was Tommy Vercetti, but everyone knows that surely?
