Learn Game Programming
DeVry's Game and Simulation Programming curriculum will prepare you for taking on various development roles in the game industry.
Game Art & Design Degree
Westwoods’s game art & design program will teach you everything you will need to know before you apply for a job in the game industry.
Don’t have enough money or time to take a vacation? With Driving Simulator, you can take a virtual road trip to almost anywhere in North America. Take a ride from your house to Mount Rushmore. Drive through the mountainous terrain of the Rockies. Drive down into the Grand Canyon. Try driving through the crazy streets of New York City, where other drivers will try to cut you off and pedestrians don’t look for oncoming traffic. Visit the Washington Monument, the White House, the Pentagon, and other famous sites in Washington, D.C. Try island hopping on a ferry in the Caribbean Sea. Alternatively, you can head north into Canada and on into the icy terrain of Alaska.
Do you have a teenager who’s just learning to drive? With the interactive lessons, a virtual instructor and a scoring system in Driving Simulator, you don’t have to worry about taking your “inexperienced” teen out on the real road until you know he/she is ready. You can even learn to drive a motorcycle, a tractor-trailer, and a school bus.
In this game, there are traffic laws. The police will be out in full force and will pull you over or chase you down and box you in, but if you want total freedom, you can turn off the police feature. Then you will be free to do whatever the heck you want (on the side of caution); turn off the crash feature as well and you have nothing to worry about.
Since the amount of scenery in the game is likely to add up to several gigabytes, only North American scenery is included with the game. If you want to add more scenery than just add additional scenery packs for each additional continent or region of the world. These are distributed on DVD-ROM, but can also be downloaded and burned to DVDs (broadband connection strongly recommended).
