What you would do at the begining is choose from: Scary Movie 1, Scary Movie 2, or Scary Movie 3 at the main screen and then you would choose a character e.g. you picked Scary Movie 1, you choose from Cindy, Shorty, Bobby, ect. You choose Scary Movie 3, you choose from Cindy, the black girl who dies, the kid, ect.
After you pick a character, (let's start off from if you picked Cindy and you picked Scary Movie 1) you can walk around just like in Grand Theft Auto, and kill people, steal cars etc, but if you chose Scary Movie 1, Scream is after you, and he wants to kill you. (there will be FMVs of you hitting the guy etc) You can enter buildings: the school, Cindys house, the jail, the place where you killed the guy at the beginning etc. The weapons you can get in 1 is: sword, knife, sledge hammer, axe, pistol etc. 2: Chain gun, knife, spear, etc. 3: sword, fist, razor blade etc.
In 2, (lets say you chose Cindy and you picked number 2) you walk around the haunted house, go into every room, find out secrets, etc.
The waiter you sometimes see around the house (and hes really annoying). You are being haunted down by the ghost, and you have to find a secret weapon in the haunted house (by using the clues the voices say) to kill the ghost (the ghost busters machine ghost sucker thingy).
In 3 (you pick the kid in number 3) you can go to places like the rap house, the crop feild, the white house, etc. You are being hunted by the ring girl, and sometimes, when your in a building, the tv turns on and the girl comes out.
While you walk around it turns night time, day time etc.
