Learn Game Programming
DeVry's Game and Simulation Programming curriculum will prepare you for taking on various development roles in the game industry.
Game Art & Design Degree
Westwoods’s game art & design program will teach you everything you will need to know before you apply for a job in the game industry.
I never thought I'd end up here. So, this is where Creed took me, the underworld. I'm not finished with him, he's gonna pay.
As mentioned in my earlier game, Marcus stepped through the gate Creed opened, and now has found himself in the underworld.
Jump across the pillars to solid ground, and a cutscene will play.
Creed appears before Marcus, and before he can attack him Creed disappears. Marcus hears him laugh and say, "You're going to have to do a lot better than that."
This is where the game actually starts. You begin to roam around the place that appears to be a town when demons start to appear, but they don't attack you. In fact, some even wave to you. These are the equivelint of citizens from the first game. There are some bonus objectives to complete with them too. Primarily in finding things. For example, get a tool they lost, or find a crystal they really want but can't get to. There aren't rewards for these tasks though. Instead, there are little black crystals floating around. Collect these, find a gate that looks like a glowing puddle on the ground, and you'll be transported to the human world. The black crystals turn into money you can use for ammo(you still have the pipe). Once you buy it, you are teleported back to the underworld.
To find Creed in this game, you must fight your way through 12 realms of the underworld, each being split into 4 sections. Each realm has a town that you should usually start and get restocked on. There are about 400 enemies in each section, and each section has four primary fights. There are a few fights that are requests from citizens. To pass on to another realm, defeat all of the demons in the 4 sections.
Here are a few of the realms:
Fire realm: This is where you begin, and the demons should look familiar from the end of the first game. There are 1624 enemies in this realm.(counting all 4 sections and two requested fights.)
Sky realm: The second realm you enter, this is a bit tougher, because your enemies all fly.
Sky realm enemies:
Gunt: weak, but fast Gunts fight in small groups and are more annoying than a problem. Don't waste your ammo on these guys, just beat them with the steel pipe a couple times and they'll kiss the dirt.
Vulken: kind of an upgrade of the Gunt these are slow, but more powerful. You can use either guns or the pipe on them. They only fight alone.
Flinton: they come at you in flocks. The best strategy to kill them is to use your guns.
There are 1600 enemies here, and no request fights.
Ice realm: Heck has frozen over. Well, here at least. Guns are not recomended to fight here, so don't waste your time.
Ice realm enemies:
Blorr: kind of looks like the abomidable snowman with horns, these are the toughest enemies here. Do a bullfighter-type move to then swing around and bash them on the back of the head. They fight alone.
Scritt: the most annoying things in the game, they're extremely aggresive, but really weak. A good bash in the face should teach 'em. They fight in small to large groups.
There are 1636 enemies here counting three request fights.
That's just to name a few.
When you reach the 6 realm Marcus finds a book called the Taursus Demactum. It tells him of a demon more powerful than Creed, and a "holy beast" called the Golden Werewolf. Thinking this is an artifact that could help him destroy Creed and this other demon, if it exists, he begins to search for it.
Transformations will be slightly different. Instead of using a chart to become the reddish-black werewolf, first, become the normal werewolf, then fill another gauge to become the reddish-black werewolf.(there would be no way to tell if it was a full moon in the underworld.)
Eventually, Marcus runs into Creed. No words are said, they just fight. This is difficult, but not as hard as in the first game. He doesn't have much to run up along, but he now has enough room to fly. If you have a strategy for him in the first game it should still work, but you don't have many things to throw him into.
When you win, you've actually killed Creed! When he falls, another figure is behind him. It says, "He was an extremely powerful fighter, but I guess in your hands he was expendible. You're probably wondering who I am. To keep things simple, I gave you and Creed your powers. I also gave Creed the impulses to do the things to your family that he did. It was to give you hatred and rage so I could enter your mind and 'upgrade' you. Although it wasn't part of my plan for him to kill you. That was an easy fix though, wasn't it?"
"You monster! Marcus screams. He leaps at the demon, but it disappears before he can reach it. Now you're on the search to kill this demon, who now Marcus realizes is the one mentioned in the book.
The fights become harder and people become more and more scarce, but you should eventually find yourself in front of the demon himself.
"Who are you?" Marcus asks.
The demon replies,"Delmactun, glad I could kill you today."
The fight starts. There are two ways this fight can end. One, you can beat him. That may sound easy but it isn't, this guy has about eight health gauges, and every time you take out one gauge, he adds on a new stream of attacks. He starts off diving at you, slashing, then moving to some blasts of energy. You should get some help when you start to see a pattern in his assault. He will use his newest moves first, then the last move he used before that, then the first move he used before that. This pattern will become more complicated as he gains new moves, so try your best to keep up with him. I mentioned that this was difficult because no matter what difficulty setting you choose at the beggining, the difficulty for this fight is set on hard. I did this because there are only two boss fights: Creed and this guy. Not to say that certain other enemies aren't difficult to dispatch. Now the other way to end this is if your health goes down to zero, Delmactun then moves in to kill you, but then the Taursus Demactum goes in front of you, pulls you in, then explodes revealing you in golden werewolf form. The only things that have changed is that you have all your health back, and your attacks are now twice as powerful, but they weren't very potent in the first place, so it's still going to take a while. Damage on you is reduced a little bit, and the difficulty remains on hard.
When you beat him, he screams, explodes, and the explosion knocks you into the human world.
EPILOGUE:
There was no way, to my despair, to change back to a normal human. I have now taken an oath, to protect this city from all harm. Demon or otherwise.
This is my gift, this is my curse, this is,
My Nightmare
