Westwoods’s game art & design program will teach you everything you will need to know before you apply for a job in the game industry.
this idea is mainly for controls which I think this is a great one
1. Lets try evolving dual directional shiooting. L1 to lock left target, R1 to lock right one.
2. Swordplay is gettin stale. Lets mix it up with swordplay being used with the right analog stick in all directions, think rise to honor. If you dont like it that way, lock on and you can use the stick on on one, like pressing down on the stick, when locked on, will have dante swing down on the enemy, sideways will slash from that direction.
3. What's more badass then dante? Finishing moves, in cutscenes. When an enemy is ready to be finished, it will begin to swagger, press R2 against the monster, and the game will go to a cutscene, showing a brutal, over the top finishing move.
4. directional buttons to switch weapons, up and down for guns, side to side for close combat weapons
5. More weapons! Devil May Cry 2's weapons were dumb. The swords were very boring. We need dual swords, Katana, Huge sword, nunchakus, double sided sword, etc, each with their own element. The guns need a boost too. Ive never played a game where i hated a rocket launcher, but devil may cry 2 showed me its possible. I want the guns to be upgradeable. Not like, making it more powerful, but laser sight to make it more accurate, light for dark areas, where if you dont have light, its going to be harder to target enemies in the dark, and other ideas for guns. The guns include, dual machineguns, but not mp5's like in dmc2, but uzis, the pistols, the boomstick, a grenade launcher, and a burst fire rifle, like the m16, a strong gun, but slow compared to the dual uzi's. And last but not least, a minigun, included in the later parts of the game. The gun can overheat, and takes time to start up! All of these guns should be upgradeable as said before, also in power.
6. everything stays the same on the button pad. What to do with triangle? hmm.... im thinking magic or something.
7. If you dont like the controls, change em! Fully customizable controls.
8. Oh yeah, devil trigger on L2
Now the storyline (note, im not really concentrating on it)
Summary
Dante just got a call from a man named "Sims". He's got a problem at a mansion he just bought. As you are talking to him, he begins to scream and the phone line cuts. Dante finds out he is at the castle where the first game took place, but it's fully restored, since you cleaned the place out with ebony and ivory in the first game. You walk in, and see a trail of blood, and following it, come to a dark room for photography. Exploring the catsle, you find dead bodies brutally slain, and finally come to "Sims". He's dying. He says to you, as his last words. "Sparda has opened the demon world......." You are confused, because, sparda is your father, and he is dead. But something has obviously happened, so not only must you get back into the demon world like in dmc, but you have to find sparda, if he really does exist right now. As you are playing, you'll find yourself become more out of control, like becoming devil trigger without pressing the button, you vision blurring, and hurting yourself. You must figure out what the heck is going on, and defeat whomever is opening the demon world.
Please Send FeedBack on this. I think it has a definite amount of potential, and i hope some of you can help me. Thank you.
