SimCopter was a highly underrated game. But let's get that out of the way and get to the idea. In the original, you could choose a chopper, fly it around, and perform various tasks given to you like rescue someone here, catch a criminal, put out a fire, and all that stuff... It was a great game, but the problem was there just wasn't enough. After you found yourself doing the same mission for the 400th time, you just didn't want to play it anymore.
One thing I think I enjoyed most about Simcopter... the dark little things you could do behind the scenes. Forget GTA... this game was even more malicious. You could crash into anyone you don't like, drop medevac patients out of your chopper from as high as you want (or strait into the blades if that's your fancy), and then the apache... you could fly around, blow up people, buildings, and even shoot the nuclear plant to cause a meltdown. I must of played this game for hours trying to find all the malicious things you could do... geez maxis, i never knew you had it in you.
Anyway, for a sequal, i think a good idea would be to flesh out all those terrible things. Instead of just being a heroine rescuing everyone, you can also become the bad guys, and do some bad stuff. Basiclly, make it more like GTA. Don't limit the player to just flying around and saving, instead, make it so we can do whatever we want! Make it so we can go into all the buildings and interact with everything. Make it so we can carry weapons, and all that stuff....
Your probably confused at my idea, why would someone care so much about a sequal to a crappy game released 6 years ago. The answer's simple. In SimCopter, you could import your cities from SimCity 2000 and play in them. So if you don't like the single-player missions, import your own city and play with that. Maybe they could just make a level designer for GTA, but I guess I'm just being creative.
PS Much better graphics... much...
