Well after almost a month of silence Zero is back and in the house with my review of the import version of Devil May Cry for the PS2.

First off let me start by saying that there isn't a better game that I could come back with, as DMC is probably one of the best games I have played since MGS. I feel the holiday season is gonna be great but for the time being let us discuss this work of absolute fucking art known as Devil May Cry!

Visually this game is like bliss melting in the hands of the devil. No pun intended of course but to be honest if I could design a game myself I could only dream of it looking this fly. Light sourcing to absolutely die for and camera angles from heaven. They actually work with you! The character models are absolutely unparalleled to anything I have ever seen before. Some of the effects I have yet to see the PS2 pull off and DMC makes them look like second nature. Needless to say this game is jaw dropping in the visuals department!

Next I wanna talk about the audio flare of this title, man the music is dead on what it should be. Imagine this if you can, you walk into a room and the music changes to set the mood of the atmosphere, but do not stop there as soon as something changes the music picks up the pace and begins to almost move with the action. It is that good! The effects are also very well done, they give the enemies a sense of terrifying bliss only captured through the surround system and delivered to the doorstep of your eardrum.

OK so it looks good and it sounds good right? Well if that isn't enough to make you spooge on arrival of this gem how about the gameplay itself? Well lemme say this if Konami is taking notes this is how Castlevania should have been designed in 3D. Dante's movements and actions are absolutely flawless! You can choose the typical Resident Evil style action button or opt to have no button for that and shoot whenever you freaking feel like it! The dodging is awesome and the mixture of sword and gunplay is perilous, it is an absolute gaming orgasm waiting to happen.

So the final though on DMC? Go fucking buy it on October 17th and do yourself a favor call off work for the next week because this game is going to enthrall you like no other since the almighty itself, Metal Gear Solid. This could be a contender for game of the year in any respect and kudos to Capcom for once again redefining a genre bring on the DMC clones!!! Get this game at all costs it is more than worth your 50 bucks. Another classic title for the 21st century!....ZT
